Day 25 - May 25

I am a leader. While I offer my services to others, I frequently am the one who takes the actual initiative action. Deciding the plan, choosing the date, making the reservation, assigning the necessary tasks. The last piece is the most important...being able to delegate is something I've learned the hard way.
It isn't always comfortable. There are times when I'd much rather bury my brain and "just" scrub dishes or follow the list. But when you are placed "in charge"...be it of children, team members, or a business...you have to provide parameters for others. I see it as a service, because I relieve others of the responsibility of planning. They can give me yes/no answers to choices I present, but I am still providing leadership through defining what the choices are. Leadership is a part of my service.
