*giggles* Yes, it IS juvenile, but I just couldn't suppress the laughter at the ABC newsbreak "Has swine flu been oversold?"
People just want to get hysterical about stuff these days...our culture watches too much television, and if we don't have enough drama in our lives, we HAVE to invent it.
While I wouldn't under-estimate the risk posed by a worldwide flu pandemic, I do believe we live in a world that is obsessed with the potential danger lurking around every corner.

The same parents that live in fear of their children being kidknapped by strangers are the ones taking unnecessary risks on the road. Yet in their mind, the million to one chances are to be feared more than the 1 in 5000.
