Day 17 - May 17
I am clever. I can find short-cuts or substitutions for things that I want to accomplish. If I don't have baking powder, I can combine 2 parts cream of tartar with 1 part baking soda. I found a split spigot so I can run a hose under the fence for the backyard AND have a hose available for the front yard (total cost was $12 for a new hose and spigot, vs. well over $100 to move the water source). I come up with re-use ideas that help keep the budget manageable. It takes a little creativity and some stubbornness, but sometimes doing it the "hard way" actually IS pretty clever.
